Have you ever eaten one of these? It is an Oriental doughnut. It was really too pretty to eat. I looked all over the Internet and could not find one picture of this food. I did taste it and it had a bread outer layer and inside a creamy chocolate custard.

The best food is always eaten with good friends. Nothing like beef stew and dumplings. My friend Shari invited us for dinner Saturday night and made this great dish.
Stew cooked in an old iron pot is just the best. She glazed the carrtos and onions in red wine and sugar. YUM!!!

Comfort food gets me in trouble. I'm on my way to weigh in at Weight Watchers --- I wonder if they will call them comfort pounds?
