Alachua Spring Festival

Greyhounds enjoying the stroll to the festival. The greyhound is one of the oldest breeds dating back to 8000 years ago. Pictures of greyhounds were found on vases in ancient Egypt. I guess these dogs are only 200 years old.

Have no idea what this breed of dog is, but what a great look. It looks like the dog from Annie.
What was the name of that dog?

Gourds for sale.
The gourd is a symbol for the Resurrection.

I just wanted you to know that I have entered the snapdragon phase of my life. Part of me has snapped and the other part of me is dragging.

Star jasmine has a fragant smell. mmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Can you guess what this is? Oh no not the dreaded elephant jokes.
How do you keep an elephant from passing thought the eye of a needle?
Tie a knot it its tail.

Remember the elephant joke about how you know an elephant has been in your refrigerator....You will find foot prints in the butter.
Ok now just laugh your head off like we did when we were eight years old.

How do you stop a charging elephant?....take away his credit cards.

What do elephants do for laughs? They tell people jokes. Enough already you are killing me.

Springtime

Samantha in her Easter dress and hat.
Pink of course.!!!!!

Dogwoods in bloom are a sure a sign that spring is here.
All of these pictures have been processed in Camera Raw. I am taking classes on Lynda.com and it is like a sickness. I can't get enough of the information.

This is the first year I put up a finch feeder and now we are being eaten out of house and home with all the beautiful yellow finches.

Molly was invited to an Easter party and she jumped into the swimming pool for her first swim of the season.

Look at how bold the colors are on these chickens. One of them even laid an egg just for me.

Edward is looking fine.

Stay tuned for more Camera Raw images once I learn how to use all the dials.
